Website Design & Development Projects
When it comes to the development of either web based or non web based applications, our team utilizes a proven, structured methodology to minimize risk and ensure success in the implementation of the project.
The main steps of this predefined & utilitarian method are below.

The initial meeting allows us to find out more about your organisation as well as your website development requirements. It also gives us a basis for the creation of a quotation which includes a brief.

From the meeting we are able to generate a quotation and brief. The quotation outlines all the costs associated with the completion of the tasks at hand. Upon acceptance of the quotation and brief, we commence work on the project.

Work begins with a concept design being created alongside a Detailed Design Document. The concept design gives you an idea of the finished website or application. The document (used only for larger websites or applications) serves as a guide to the website development team. It explains all the features and functionality of the website or application and how these items interact with eachother.

Once we are satisfied with the outcome of concept design and Detailed Design Document, we submit it for review and approval. Depending on the quotation, you have the opportunity to request up to 3 revisions of the concept. Each revision consists of the design process in step 3 and then step 4 again.

Upon approval of the design and Detailed Design Document, we carry out the development of the website or application.

During the testing process all features and functions of the website are tested thoroughly. After the internal testing process is complete, you are given the opportunity to test the website and make any minor change requests. If any requests are made, then step 5 is carried out followed by step 6 again.

Once you are satisfied with the completed project and sign off on it, we launch the website or application, supply you with all relevant documentation and offer a 1 hour training session (if your website includes a CMS).

At this stage we provide you with an option of signing up to an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC). Each AMC is tailored to the needs of your organisation. Under the AMC you are able to purchase pre-paid hours at a reduced rate. These hours can be used towards any additions or changes to the existing features of your website. Regardless of whether you choose to go on an AMC or not, designQ offers free email and telephone support for any questions you may have. |
